There were no surprises in the US Open final. After less than two hours, Aryna Sabalenka triumphed over Jessica Pegula 7:5, 7:5 and added her third Grand Slam title to her account. The Belarusian media went wild, and the 26-year-old received congratulations from almost all over the world. The day after the final in New York, a message from Iga Świątek appeared in the media. The Polish player addressed her words directly to her biggest rival.

It is difficult to describe the euphoria that erupted in the Belarusian media after Aryna Sabalenka’s triumph in the US Open final. The WTA vice-ranked player defeated Jessica Pegula 7:5, 7:5 , and fell on the court in a gesture of triumph after the last ball. Her opponent was impressed by her form and strength of play. In an interview with the media, the American emphasized that the Belarusian is one of the best players on hard courts.

 – I regret that Aryna did not let me win at least one set in the final. We competed recently in Cincinnati, and in the US Open she confirmed that she is one of the best, if not the best player in the world on hard courts. Aryna plays extremely strongly, almost ripping the racket out of your hand – emphasized Pegula.
