Iga Swiatek withdraws from Wimbledon warm-up event in Berlin

Iga Swiatek has withdrawn from the Ecotrans Ladies Open in Berlin, citing “overall physical and mental fatigue after an intense nine weeks.”
The grass-court tournament, which begins on June 15, posted the statement from the world No 1 on X, in the wake of her winning her third French Open title in three years against Jasmine Paolini in Paris on Saturday.
Swiatek said that she needs to withdraw “in order to rest and recover,” having played four tournaments — winning three in Madrid, Rome, and Paris, and reaching the semifinal in Stuttgart — in that period.
