In a noticeable break from tradition, the Princess chose not to release the usual posed family photograph with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Instead, she shared a short video filled with serene landscapes and quiet family moments filmed in Norfolk last summer.

The footage, beautifully captured by filmmaker Will Warr, featured Princess Kate and Prince William embracing the natural world: walking barefoot through meadows, touching trees, and exploring the countryside with their faithful black Cocker Spaniel, Orla.

But amid the tender tribute to “our bond with the natural world,” eagle-eyed royal watchers picked up on something more-a new face among the family.

A second, brown Cocker Spaniel can be seen trotting alongside Orla in the background of the video, prompting fans to question whether the Wales family has quietly welcomed a new puppy into their home.

Though Kensington Palace has made no official comment, several theories are swirling about the dog’s origins.

It’s possible the pup belongs to Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who were with the family at the time the footage was shot.

Another possibility is that the dog was visiting from Kate’s brother James Middleton, who is well-known for his devotion to dogs and operates a respected Cocker Spaniel breeding business. James has frequently spoken about the emotional support his dogs provide and has even shared his pets with the extended family on occasion.

The British royal family has a long and storied history of keeping beloved pets. Queen Elizabeth II was famously fond of her corgis, which became a defining feature of her public persona. King Charles III and Queen Camilla have also welcomed dogs into their home, continuing the family tradition.
