KING CHARLES Makes RARE MOVE — Opens PALACE to Honor CANCER WARRIORS

After the king was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, as part of the event, Charles III shared a heartfelt message about his own experience with the disease:

Every diagnosis, every new case, will be a daunting and sometimes terrifying experience for those people and their loved ones. But as one of those statisticians, I can attest to the fact that it can also be an experience that brings out the best in humanity.

In the speech, he let it be known that family support is critical and that in these organizations, “spaces are created where patients and their families find sanctuary, understanding and practical assistance when they need it most.”

He also highlighted that the work of the organizations present and the people who work in them and admitted on each visit, he reflected, “the darkest moments of illness can be illuminated by the greatest compassion.”

They also made it known that they both support sponsors such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Breast Cancer Now, Maggie’s and Children’s Hospice South West, to whom they are grateful: “While every patient’s journey may be different, together they ensure that a cancer diagnosis never means facing the future without hope and support,” he added.

In February 2024, the king was diagnosed with cancer and began treatment, which continues to this year. This year, Buckingham Palace stated that the treatment is progressing favorably days before Christmas.

In addition, Princess Kate, 43, also announced in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer. After an absence that worried her followers, she herself shared on her social networks that she was undergoing treatment. In September, she stated that she completed chemotherapy and revealed in January of this year confirmed that she is in remission.
