David Beckham has built a new greenhouse at his mansion in the Cotswolds.

David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham, have resided in their home close to Chipping Norton for several years now, often being spotted out and about in the area.

The couple were recently seen chatting with Clarkson’s Farm star Gerald Cooper at The Chequers pub in the Oxford shire town.

Now the former Manchester United and England international footballer has built a greenhouse ahead of his upcoming 50th birthday.

The Mirror reports that Mr Beckahm is also constructing an adjacent garden store room at the country pile.

This will likely mean that he will be able to branch out into growing tomatoes and tropical fruits, which are usually suited for warmer climates.

Since moving to the Cotswolds, Mr Beckham has been enjoying the outdoor life, sharing videos of himself on social media tending to his chickens and vegetable patch.

The former footballer was seen taking his four dogs out for a walk near the mansion last month.

Uploading a photograph on the social media site Instagram alongside his pooches, the 49-year-old cut a stern face as he looked toward the camera.

“Good Morning, I think Spring might just be here,” he said. “A few serious faces this morning, but it’s like trying to get all four kids together and smile all at the same time.”
