William and the Children Take Center Stage in a Stunning Professional Video

William and the children featured prominently in the professionally filmed video and, as Jennie adds, their love was evident. “Over the past year we have seen how utterly devoted William and Catherine are to one another,” she tells us. “Theirs is a true love story and the past year has probably made them a stronger couple.”

During a trip to Cape Town in November for his Earthshot Prize awards, William described the past 12 months, amid his wife and father’s health troubles, as “brutal”, and probably “the hardest year of my life”.

Thankfully, last December, Kate felt strong enough to join William and their children, and the rest of the congregation, at Westminster Abbey for the Together At Christmas Carol Service. She looked positively glowing as she accompanied a young Louis to place a personal note on the Abbey’s Kindness Tree.

This year has had an undeniably fresher, happier and healthier start for the young family. William penned a very personal message to Kate on her birthday on 9 January, describing her as “the most incredible” wife and mother. “The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable,” he wrote. “George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W”

Even though Kate’s work diary has been scaled back to a fraction of what it was pre-diagnosis, she is certainly enjoying some more of the “deep joy” her work brings her, and this year’s engagements have already included days out with primary school children, a trip to a prison mother and baby unit, and two trips to Wales.
