Camila Giorgi Hangs Up Her Racket for a Life in Lingerie

A tennis star who secretly quit the sport at the age of 32 to pursue a career as a lingerie model has now made it public that she has hung up her racket.
Last week it emerged that Giorgi had left tennis behind her – having not played in nearly two months since her defeat by Iga Swiatek at the Miami Open on March 23 – with reports claiming the WTA ‘cannot get hold of her’.
And since then, it is now official that she has retired from tennis following her statement on Instagram
Posting to her 742,000 followers, at the time of writing, ‘I am happy to formally announce my retirement from my tennis career,’ as Marca detail.
‘I am grateful for your wonderful love and support for so many years. I appreciate all the beautiful memories.’
The Italian had been balancing her tennis career with her own fashion company called Giomila, but had reportedly moved amid a tax dispute.
She often posts racy snaps showcasing a range of underwear and sportswear for her own fashion brand called Giomila.

She has been combining her work as a professional tennis player as well as a model and business owner, but according to Marca, will now be focusing on fashion.
