Victoria and David Beckham have just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary – but things could have been very different for Posh Spice.
The iconic couple have gone through thick and thin together over the last two and a half decades, marking the occasion by recreating their unforgettable wedding looks this week.
Since tying the knot in 1999 the lovebirds have gone from strength to strength, welcoming children Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12. But the Spice Girl, 50, could have been fast approaching her 30th wedding anniversary if she had tied the knot with her first fiancé.
That’s right – Posh and Becks almost weren’t an item with Victoria previously engaged before the former couple split in 1996 shortly before she met the England football legend.
Victoria went on to meet David a year after her split from Adam, with the football icon popping the question in 1998. ‘I am the happiest girl in the world today,’ she said in a statement at the time. ‘I’m with the man I know I’m going to grow old and wrinkly with.’
