Detail about Previous Engagement of Victoria to her first fiancé, “Electrician Mark Wood” before she met David Beckham

Victoria was previously engaged to electrician Mark Wood after he popped the question in 1994. They were together for six years. Mark was an electrician who worked for Victoria’s father’s electronic supply business and met Victoria when she was 14.
The couple lived together in the family’s £400,000 Hertfordshire home before getting engaged when Victoria had just auditioned for the Spice Girls.
Victoria and Mark never wed, though the singer took on his last name and went by Victoria Adams Wood during the band’s early career.
However, their romance wasn’t meant to be as they split in 1996 after six years together. Speaking on her 2002 documentary Being Victoria, the fashion mogul said: ‘For some reason we got engaged. He was an alarm engineer. If only he’d stayed in the cupboard that I met him in at my mum’s house.’
The comment didn’t go down well with Mark, who went on to share intimate details of the former couple’s sex life in the 2004 documentary Victoria Beckham’s Secrets.
Mark had previously had nothing but nice things to say about Victoria, telling People in 1997: ‘It was a very special relationship. But that part of my life is over. It’s sad because we were together for a long time. But she’s got what she always wanted and I’m proud of her.’
Elaborating on the reason for their split, Victoria told Channel 4: ‘It wasn’t the right person for me, I wasn’t enjoying myself, so that had to end. ‘But I didn’t give him the ring back either! I’ve still got it because it was a wicked ring. Isn’t that horrible? It makes me sound really materialistic.’
Victoria went on to meet David a year after her split from Adam, with the football icon popping the question in 1998. ‘I am the happiest girl in the world today,’ she said in a statement at the time. ‘I’m with the man I know I’m going to grow old and wrinkly with.’
